Highly recommended - a 'How to Book' for those seeking success in residential building.

With 32 years working with contractors of all sizes I would not consider myself an expert, but I do have an appreciation for work well done. Whether you are a contractor or looking to have some work done this book is a great resource. It is very well written and provides a wealth of information on how to deal with all aspects of contracting. This book should be required reading for all contractors and tradesmen that want to be successful.

You don't have to be a builder to appreciate this timeless book. Not only is it packed with usefull advice about dealing with customers and employees, managing money and conducting an ethical business, it also teaches the reader how to successfully manuever through many obstacles in life. It is well written and full of thoughtful quotations. Highly recommended.

I am adding an addition to my house and am acting as my own general contractor . I found this book very helpful in dealing with sub contractors, licenses, suppliers and designers.This book saved me a lot of time with all of the details involved in this type of project.I highly recommend this book for anyone doing a project like this.
