Here's why these foods are so good for you and me!

This is the kind of health book I like -- practical, easy read, to the point and sensible. I believe that when these food suggestions are followed, almost everyone will experience improvements in wellness and energy. Blueberries almost always tops the list in antioxidant foods. Then we have to have yogurt (the right kind), tomatoes, oats, carrots -- and GARLIC! One clove a day can work wonders for many conditions.

Any book that so strongly recommends black and green tea I'm sold on! Sweet potatoes, not so much. Peppers, kale and even spinach -- all right. But pumpkin? If I have to. That leaves me 21 foods out of the list, and most are quite common and you can find them at your farmer's market and grocery store. So many "healthy foods" are too exotic for everyday eating, but not these. The author also clearly tells us the overall benefits for these foods. That convinced me to eat more of them. This book is such a small investment for what can be life-enhancing changes. I recommend it.

Quick, concise, informational. I like that in most cases, daily amount for maximum benefit was listed. That is often left off. I don't think it near covers all the GREAT foods but it is a great beginning to the list.
